Basel’s Best Ice Cream

Can you even go wrong with ice cream? They’re all good! But here I am presenting you my short personal guide – top 4 places to get an ice cream in the city. These places are my “to go” spots on the hot summer days in Basel and I hope you’ll like them as much as I do :).

Eiscafe Acero

Rheingasse 13, 4058 Basel

Creamy, homemade icecream with lots of unusual, dairy free and vegan options. Located close to the river so you can take your gelato on a nice walk along the Rhein. My favourite is their vegan coconut.

Gabri’s Gelato

Rheingasse 47, 4058 Basel

Taste of Italy and a real Italian flair. (And in case you’re super hungry you can get some fresh pasta too :)). Located on the Rheingasse – short walk from the Basilisk fountain and the Munster views. I don’t know about you guys, but I like my gelato with a view. Plus they have After Eight flavour (love it!)

Glatscharia Una

 Rosshofgasse, 4051 Basel

Right by the Spalentor so plus for the views while strolling with your gelato. Some unique flavors and also premium options – for more demanding gelato lovers. I loved their Vanilla – super creamy, not too sweet – just perfect (drooling as typing that :D).

Eisuru Gelato

Steinentorbeg 20, in Markthalle
Elisabethenstrasse 33

They have two locations, one at Markthalle and the other one near the Elisabethenkirche – with the second one open only “bei gutem Wetter”. The most recommended by you – their flavours are super unique. Black sesame paste is their most popular flavour. Mine favourite is the Earl Grey Tea – I am a tea lover and this one easily stole my heart.

Hope you guys find this blogpost useful! Enjoy your gelato and let me know if my recommendations were tasty!
